Grandma Beckey's

We packed up the car on Tuesday night and headed for Muscatine, IA Wed. afternoon to see Brad's grandma Beckey and his dad, Bart who flew in from Denver. The drive wasn't too bad, about 5.5 hours, but it backfired a bit. We kept the babies up from their nap thinking they would take an extra long one in the car on the way there. They fell asleep pretty soon after we left and woke up 30 min. later and were awake the rest of the trip! So needless to say, we did not have happy babies about the last 2 hours. Thank goodness the trip home was much better. We had a great time visiting the babies great grandma and grandpa Bart. Brad's grandma is 82 and she never seems to age. Every year we see her, she looks the same, has the same level of energy and her house is spotless. She also still mows her lawn with a push mower! I look forward to this visit every year and it almost didn't happen this year. We are so glad we were able to go after all. Grandpa Bart and grandma Beckey hadn't seen the babies since our last trip to Iowa which was when they were 7 months old, so things were a bit different this time! His grandma couldn't get over how they were walking and talking and eating table food! It was so cute. Here are a few pictures we captured in grandma's backyard and at the park.
